We especially like strong voiced work that bends genres and challenges our ability to put a label on it. However we disdain the term "experimental." By the time you're ready to show the work the experimenting should be OVER, and you should know what you want it to look like. By the same token we continue to look for more traditional work that is well executed and beautifully written. And we will publish these divergent worlds next to each other with a kind of sadistic glee.
Poetry has a hard time making it in, but we're not averse.
We also have a need for art and artwork. Every story or piece we publish is accompanied by artwork made specifically for it. We are interested in using and promoting the work of artists. Contact the art director (email on website) for more details.
Please do not send coming-of-age stories, stories centered around high school, or sentimental crap about your horse.
Even we have our limits.
