Third Point Press
We want to be a voice in the literary community, but also in our own community. We want to be worldwide but also undeniably local. We have a few ways of doing that: making sure that some of our content in each issue is made up of writers from Lancaster, York, and Harrisburg PA, for example. We’re also planning to publish chapbooks of local authors alongside anthologies and collections from authors anywhere we can find them. We want to think locally and globally. The best of both worlds. Why not?
We want you to send us the stuff you know is good. We want to see the not-quite-genre and not-quite-literary. We like experiments and minimalism and conceptual writing. We like magical realism and absurdism and underrepresented perspectives. We want poetry that experiments, that isn’t so reverent to avoid popular culture. We want jaw dropping moments and poets/writers who take risks. Third Point Press wants emerging voices and refreshing ideas. We want you to use your perspective. This is a gentle way of saying your story should be unique. We also want you to know, deep in your brave little writer’s heart, that you might have something new to show us. What’s the worst that happens? A rejection? C’mon, you’re strong enough to take that.
