Pinwheel is a triannual poetry journal. Our issues include poets at various stages of their writing careers, and we refuse to subscribe to one creative aesthetic over another. The majority of our issues come from solicitations, but we will occasionally post calls for unsolicited work.
Pinwheel is not currently accepting unsolicited submissions. When we do yodel for your scrawl, we want to know you have had a fight with the poems you submit. Maybe you had to sleep on the couch a few times or even got kicked out of the house for a few nights. We want poems that will throw a punch and take a goddamn punch.
Here at Pinwheel, we request First North American Serial Rights, as well as acknowledgement in all subsequent publications of poems we publish. Naturally, all rights revert to the author upon either the refusal of those terms or the publication of poems in Pinwheel. We promise to keep every poem we publish alive in our Archive, pending the apocalypse.
