Reviewers for The Review Review are encouraged to focus on a journal's strengths and, wherever possible, locate an overriding aesthetic that defines a particular journal. We hope to be useful and informative while also acknowledging the great writing that's coming out in small presses today. We also aim to hold lit mags accountable for the less-than-great writing and the occasional editing blunders.

The Review Review is not paid by any journals to write reviews. Therefore, we have no specific affiliations with any particular literary magazines.

We would like to foster dialogue among writers, editors and readers. Always, if you agree or disagree with a review, please post your thoughts.
